Molo base commander Moses Nderitu has urged motorists along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway to exercise maximum caution and observe lane discipline to avert road accidents along the route.
He said some drivers were taking advantage of NTSA exit to flout traffic rules endangering the lives of other road users.
He said his officers were manning the route from Kamara to Salgaa, a stretch commonly blacklisted owning to increased road accidents.
Nderitu said speeding remains the notorious cause of road accidents calling on drivers to adhere to traffic rules.
Mr. Nderitu said despite offenders being taken to court and slapped with fines the trend of floating traffic rules is rampant on main roads.
Last night two people died while five others were seriously injured after two vehicles collided head on near Jogoo trading centre along the Nakuru-Eldoret.
