Songstress Ruth Matete’s father, Abel Amunga, at one point had to chase away his daughter after she madly fell in love with a man he was against of.
Amunga said he was angered by his daughter as she stood firm that that was the man of her heart.
Speaking on a local TV, Amunga said the 'estate boy' had stolen his daughter's heart to an extent that she chose the guy over him (the dad).
“I got angry and ordered Ruth to pack up her things. I literally took her to her boyfriend’s place, and asked his family to take her in. The man was still living with his parents. So, I told them: ‘Chukueni bibi, ndiyo huyo nimewaletea!” Amunga said.
The two had been hosted as the world marked father's day.
Amunga and Matete, both stars in the showbiz, had graced several platforms over their unique daughter-day union.
Matete is Tusker Project Fame 5 winner and had been in the gossip blogs over her past stories on break up.
