[Photo|Captain Lennox Xavier]Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, publicly met with his successor, Prof Anyang' Nyong'o for the first time since campaigns of the August 8 elections.Ranguma who was an ODM governor, cut ties with Nyong'o and the Raila Odinga-led party in April during party primaries.This is after Nyong'o beat him to fly the party ticket, a move that saw him defend his seat as an Independent Candidate. He however lost in the election, and vowed to petition Nyong'o's election, saying it was subverted to favour the former senator.The duo however met, Friday, in a rare circumstance, at a funeral service in Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County.Nyong'o and Ranguma shook each other's hand, and a light moment at the ceremony, as they sought to help the family issue last respect to the late Mzee Richard Asiyo, husband to the former Karachuonyo MP Dr Phoebe Asiyo.Ranguma also met several other ODM party leaders such as Kisumu Senator Fred Outa and his Siaya counterpart James Orengo.Other leaders present were Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti, Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang', Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, former ODM Nominated MP Oburu Odinga, among others.
