Governor Ferdinand Waititu of Kiambu County, while taking the office, promised to restore the best 'performance' in bed matters, for Kiambu men.
This was after Kiambu women had earlier held demonstrations claiming that men had failed to deliver to them their conjugal rights, with alcohol being the major cause.
“I will fight this battle of illicit brew and drug abuse to the end to make sure that joto ya vijana wetu imerudi. People of Nairobi voted for me overwhelmingly in 2013 because I can be trusted and have a track record,” said the Governor in Ndumberi grounds, during his inauguration.
The Governor has so far kept his promise, of ensuring "joto ya vijana imerudi", with his strong stand on alcohol and drug abuse. Since he took over the office, several illicit brews have been destroyed, alcohol dens shut down, bars required to apply for new licenses, all night clubs monitored, others closed, among so many things.
The Governor has also enrolled the affected youths into rehabilitation centres, where they are being changed from 'alcohol focused' to life focused.
How is Waititu's stand on alcohol making Kiambu men best in bed?
Dr. Abigael San, clinical psychologist and alcohol expert, thttp://www.drabigaelsan.co.uk/ says that alcohol reduces both men's and women's sexual sensitivity.
"In both sexes, sexual response is reduced by regular and prolonged drinking.
"In men, alcohol can cause difficulties getting and maintaining an erection - while women may experience reduced lubrication, they find it harder to have an orgasm, or have orgasms that are less intense." says Dr. San.
From what DR. San has said, it is clear Mr. Waititu is on the right track in keeping his promise, of restoring happiness in marriages, by ensuring men must perform. This is why no single woman is taking it to streets, with men not-performing-issues, like it used to happen in some years back.
