The Governor has since blamed his ongoing woes and row with the ruling Jubilee Party on the individuals whom he claims are deeply rooted within the party and are hitting back at him for fighting them and their graft activities in the city.

According to Aladwa, however, it is possible to keep the cartels at bay without any casualties, recalling his technique during his tenure at the helm of the city.

With the cartels reportedly heavily dependent on tenders and contracts awarded by the county, Aladwa narrated how he ensured that they were allowed nowhere near the tenders.

''I had tender boards which I fortified against the cartels by introducing the procurement sectors to ensure that everything is brought under close supervision, denying them the opportunity to infiltrate the system,'' he revealed.

''Tenders were only awarded and paid once the relevant firms had undertaken all the required due diligence. I also ensured that the relevant bodies were given all the necessary support they required, including finances, to empower and motivate them and this resulted to a spotless job,'' he further revealed.

He, therefore, advised Governor Sonko to consider the technique and ignore the salvos being shot at him to realize his election promises.

''The Governor is unable to deliver because he has to work and protect himself from critics at the same time. He has to concentrate on work and ignore those criticizing him,'' advised the opposition legislator.
