Kiambu governor William Kabogo has once again reiterated that he lost unfairly during the just concluded party primaries.
The governor lost the Jubilee Party ticket to Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu.
Speaking during a radio interview with Gukena FM, the flamboyant governor observed that his opponents resorted to baseless propaganda to ensure his defeat.
He added that there was a wider scheme by top Jubilee Party leadership who were keen to ensure that he does not win a second term.
He, however, declined to name the alleged people who frustrated his bid.
“The propaganda will not go anywhere, it will not change Kiambu,” he said.
He further exuded confidence in recapturing his seat, citing "a commendable track record."
“Let the people of Kiambu weigh me based on development,” he stated.
He is set to seek re-election as an independent candidate, having participated in the formation of the Kenya Alliance of Independent Candidates where he sits as the chair.
