On March 8th, the entire world marks the International Women's Day which commemorates the movement for women rights.
However, many people change the theme of the day to celebrate contributions women close to them have made in their lives.
Kenyans like the rest of the World, take it to social media to celebrate women close to them.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has not been left out for the last two years.
On this date he takes to his social media to celebrate the first lady.
Uhuru On Thursday as he did last year posted on social media how he met the first lady.
A story that seems to contradict his 2017 statements on how he met Margaret.
On Thursday, Uhuru said he met Margaret when he went swimming with his late father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta who told him to approach the lady and befriend her.
“I first met Margaret when I was out swimming with my father and he urged me to be friend her. I have known her for most of my life, she is my friend, partner and strong supporter," Uhuru posted on twitter.
However, in 2017during his live stream on Facebook he gave a different story when a fun asked how he met the first lady.
"This is an interesting one: How did I meet the First Lady? When I met her, she wasn't the First Lady but just another wonderful and beautiful girl, let me say that I first met her brother. Her brother and I studied together in high school. We became friends. Through him, I managed to meet his younger sister. We started off a relationship that started from secondary school until now. And I thank God for that." Uhuru said.
The First Lady has however never narrated how both met.
