Details have emerged on how intelligence helped the government deal with Raila Odinga's swearing in.

Sources have revealed that top security chiefs were holed at a room in Harambee house Monday evening studying intelligence on the planned event.

The top chief learnt that NASA leaders had planned to milk political mileage from the police.

They hoped that the police would clash violently with their supporters at Uhuru Park.

This would have made the coalition to postpone the swearing in and blame the police for the chaos.

It is at this moment that it was agreed police officers be pulled out of the venue.

Also body guards to all top opposition leaders were withdrawn as the 'government would not protect individuals involved in illegal activities'.
