Jubilee leaders had been set up for an embarrassment had they decided to attend the burial of Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze, we can now reveal.
Sources have told this writer that were it not an intelligence report, Jubilee leaders were to attend the burial and would be humiliated.
The intel, advised against any pro-government figure attending the Wiper party's late MP burial.
Among Jubilee leaders who had shown interest to attend the burial is Leader of Majority Aden Duale and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
"They were however prevailed upon not to attend after the intelligence. We are the government and we know alot of things before they happen, you know!" a Jubilee MP told this writer.
The MP said the two leaders who were to represent President Uhuru Kenyatta were briefed on how certain local politicians had made the ground hostile for any pro-Jubilee politician.
The burial was attended by all NASA honchos as well as other luminaries within the Opposition's file and rank.
It was a burial stocked with political undertones.
NASA leader Raila Odinga, visibly furious, fired salvos to Jubilee declaring that he was ready to die if that is the price of his swearing-in.
