The low voter turnout in Kenya's repeat presidential poll and subsequent murdering of people in the country dominated yet again in the international headlines.
With opposition leader Raila Odinga having bolted out due to lack of reforms in the IEBC, preliminary analysis shows that the turnout was underwhelming.
Britain's Independent said:"Violent clashes and low turnout threaten presidential rerun," adding that "At least three people were shot dead by security forces running battles."
Bloomberg termed the election 'No - win election' adding that the country risks political instability and violence.
But even more worryingly, Aljazeera reported several cases of violence saying:"Polls close as violence mars Kenya election rerun."
On its part, Reuters covered widely the shooting in Kisumu and some parts of the country where elections did not take place at all.
"Boycott, shooting, and teargas mar Kenya election rerun," said the paper in her catchy headline.
Chairman Wafula Chebukati postponed elections in four Nyanzan counties to Saturday, a move that has been widely criticized.
