Looks like Governor Joho is grooming his cousin for 2022 gubernatorial contest.
His cousin known to many as Saido lost the Nyali parliamentary seat to former journalist Mohammed Ali even lost again after his petition was thrown out by the Mombasa High court.
Saido said he will appeal the court decision, it seems he won't give up that easily and that means he wasn't really interested in the parliamentary contest but being prepared by Joho for a bigger task ahead.
The assertion by Ali that Joho is trying to make Mombasa "Mali ya mama yao" seems to be true. Joho is pushing hard to be the one calling the shots in and out of power, he is forgetting that Jubilee Party made him "sultan".
He has his interests for Presidency comes 2022 and unless he tones down on how he is referring to the Presidency and his deputy, he is bound to lose terribly.
He must start creating his own political journey and not being Raila Odinga's errands boy.
With Mohammed Ali as the Nyali MP, I can see a different kind of politics in Mombasa and with no time it will be a Jubilee zone.
