A political analyst has predicted the reelection of Isaac Ruto as Bomet county governor.

Speaking to KTN News on Thursday, political analyst Moses Odhiambo said the Chama cha Mashinani party leader would weather the Jubilee euphoria in the region to retain the seat which proves to a political battlefield for both Nasa and Jubilee factions.

Odhiambo said the Nasa co principal stood a chance of trouncing Jubilee's Joyce Laboso who is believed to have the blessings of deputy president William Ruto.

He argued that the lack of Jubilee forays in the area could easily cost the deputy speaker the seat and catapult Ruto to political stardom.

"Jubilee seems to be taking things for granted in Bomet. They have not been making forays into the region while Nasa seems to be camping there. This ensures that they rubber stamp their agenda there and Ruto being a contestant will no doubt ride on this presence to retain his seat," he said.

Bomet gubernatorial seat proves to be an epic battle between the former Chepalungu MP who rebelled against deputy president William Ruto to form his Chama cha Mashinani party against Sotik MP Laboso who is a a close ally of the DP.
