A determined Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is said to have sought support from two NASA principals to strike a common stand on Raila Odinga's planned inauguration, reports Citizen TV.

With the four NASA principals expected to iron out internal wrangles on Monday, the meeting that eventually took place at Karen County Club did not materialise.

But Kalonzo, who is believed to be against the idea of taking the oath, is said to have lobbied Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to oppose the plan.

NASA has scheduled January 30th as the date for oath taking despite resistance from within and outside the coalition.

And the three finally held a meeting at Kalonzo's Karen home before proceeding for a meeting with Raila which eventually ended in stalemate.

With the three principals taking a strong stand against the swearing-in, Raila Odinga  may yet again face difficulties in convincing his supporters given that he had postponed such plans last year.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria had hinted that President Uhuru Kenyatta played a key role in clearing hospital bills for Kalonzo's wife Pauline, who was admitted in Germany.

It is not clear whether the swearing-in will take place amid resistance from within NASA.
