Former Kathaini MP Wavinya and Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala will not stage a strong contest against Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua after they failed to agree to work together.
The former vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka's inability to unite the two leaders has given Mutua an advantage as we head to the August polls. The two leaders needed each other to beat Mutua when that time comes. In addition, duo's attack on each other has worked well for the current county boss
Kiala has exposed the weak side of Wavinya Ndeti and she has also not spared him. As the two were exchanging words, the electorate has been watching them.
Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, who fell out with Kalonzo, has also contributed to the win of Governor Mutua. He has painted Wavinya Ndeti as a thief which has also been extended to Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. The senator has been threatening to expose Kalonzo, which is an advantage to Mutua.
As much as Muthama said that Mutua was imposed on the people, the county boss has done his best to ensure that the people of this part of the nation have something to smile about since he took over office. The governor has been accredited for the development of roads, water provision, improvement in healthcare and other projects.
