A cornered Ex-Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka may have after all given contradicting information on why he skipped Raila Odinga's swearing-in.

Minutes after Tuesday's inauguration, Kalonzo claimed that along with Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, police had put them under house arrest.

And at a press conference on Wednesday, Kalonzo changed the narrative, this time blaming his miseries of 'unsolved issues' within NASA.

But a detailed report by Saturday Standard indicates the Kalonzo had switched off his phone for the better part of Tuesday and was missing from an early morning meeting which did not bear fruits.

At the exact time (11;00am) which Kalonzo claims he was with Mudavadi and Wetangula, the two principals were with Raila at a Riverside Drive hotel minutes to the swearing-in.

The Wiper leader is fighting allegations if betraying Raila last minute with supporters now pushing for Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to take his place in the NASA coalition.

A lonely Raila took oath as peoples president in front of thousands of supporters at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
