Wiper leader, Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC leader, Musalia Mudavadi on Thursday visited the late Matiba's family at his Limuru home.
The NASA principals Thursday's meeting with the late Kenneth Matiba's family seems a calculated move basically to avoid meeting Raila Odinga at the same place.
The ODM leader and other government dignitaries visited late Matiba's family at his Limuru home on Tuesday where they condoled with the family.
However, when other principals were meeting the family on Tuesday, the other NASA leaders were conspicuously missing at the same place.
This seems to be an intentional move to avoid meeting the opposition chief whom they had labeled traitor immediately after the handshake.
Due to the political animosity that had been brought up by the handshake and Wetangula's ouster, Wetangula and Mudavadi promised to wage war against Raila as they claimed that they had been betrayed.
On the other hand, Raila and camp claimed that the three principals were responsible for their predicaments after they failed to attend Raila's oath-taking ceremony.
Therefore, if their political fall out is anything to go by, then the principals failed to visit late Matiba's home on Tuesday deliberately to avoid meeting Raila.
The three Nasa leaders are yet to meet face to face since the famous handshake that has since caused a rift in the Nasa coalition.
Both Kalonzo and Mudavadi in their eulogy describe Matiba as a courageous and selfless leader whose fight brought multiparty democracy in Kenya.
"Mzee Matiba suffered, suffered for all of us. He could not have suffered that much in vain," said Kalonzo.
