Narc Kenya leader, Martha Karua has renewed her presidential bid ahead of the 2017 polls saying she will use lessons learnt in 2013 polls to clinch the top seat. Speaking on a local TV station, Karua said she is not deterred in her quest for the presidency.
“I will use what I have learnt in the previous elections as a weapon. I have learnt a lot and will try to apply it so that I can win the next polls. This also includes lessons learnt from my journey in politics.
“I will keep on trying, believing that I will win and win without a godfather,” Karua said.
The former presidential candidate said it is too early to pull out from the presidential race because none of the aspirants is sure of clinching the seat.
“Right now nobody has numbers for the 2017 elections because every election is different. Things can change the very last moment. Every election comes in a different way meaning that I will not be losing in every election,” Karua said.
Touching on the possibility of joining the Opposition over her appearance at events, Karua said anything is possible.
“I am warming up to the Opposition because I am Opposition. Narc Kenya is an opposition party. All parties that are not in government are described as opposition parties and Narc Kenya has chosen to remain in the opposition.
“Nark Kenya has never discussed the issue of joining any other party or coalition. It is not something that is on the table. But it is a members’ party and should they want to discuss such issues everything is open,” Karua said.
