Kenyans trolled and ridiculed Professor Makau Mutua after news broke out that, the law dean had been kicked out of the race to becoming Kenya's Chief Justice.
Many joked about his 84-page resume that was initially highlighted as an added advantage to landing the top judge position.
"Rumour has it that Makau Mutua submitted Cord manifesto to JSC instead of presenting his CV," reads one of the tweets by @kiumbe94
"Hiyo CV ya Makau Mutua si itauza njugu mob sana," reads a tweet by @QSvosty.
Reports indicated that Makau was rejected because of his public proclamation that he doesn't recognise the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Some, however, took the time to console the human rights advisor telling him that job rejection affects everybody no matter their portfolio.
"Makau Mutua welcome to the hustle bro...even me I have received several regret letters," reads a tweet by @PChebusiri
As if comments were not enough some Kenyans went ahead to create memes ridiculing Mutua, an ardent critic of President Kenyatta and the Jubilee government.
Other applicants who were eliminated in the initial stages are retired Justice Aaron Ringera, Amb Daniel Wambura, Mr Kongani Udoto, Ms Lucy Wanja, Dr Issac Rutenber and Justice Jackton Ojwang.
