Omondi revealed how he had used Sh20,000 hoping Senegal would emerge winners after an impressive first game against Poland where they won 2-1.

"I was very sure that Senegal was going to win after that good game against Poland which made me and the rest of the Africans who supports Senegal proud, I had not received this month salary so I decided to borrow somebody with which I bet Senegal to win confidently despite my brother urging me it will be a difficult game," Omondi said.

Some of his friends comforted him as indeed he was in pain after losing that whooping amount.

"Usijali bro hivo ndo kunaendanga kama umeamulia story na kubet,"said Otieno.

"Bro pia mimi nililose kwa hiyo game sio wewe solo," said Njoroge.

"My brother money come and go, if you are a real gambler you can bet and win big next so don't worry," said Mogaka.

"Unatulilia hapa mlibet na nani kazi mmeshindwa kufanya sikuhizi kazi ni kubet tu na pesa za kuomba then unaanza kutusumbua usaidiwe style up bro...," said Kadogo.

"Wewe sio wa kwanza kubet na kulose bana so acha wasiwasi utarecover hiyo doo usijali," said Mohaa.

Kinyanjui, the guy who Omondi had borrowed the cash he had used to bet was demanding his money because he had been promised to be refunded whereby he revealed that Omondi did not tell him how he was going to spend the cash despite the fact that he insisted so that he can lend him.

Some guys who usually bet with Omondi felt for him and they promised him to help in paying back the money.
