Through his official Twitter handle, Governor Mandago sent his condolences messages to the families, friends and the people of Nakuru County following the tragic incident.
"My heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and the people of Nakuru County for having lost loved ones to the #SubukiaDam inSubukia, Nakuru County. @UGC_TheChampions is with you in prayers and thoughts," tweeted Mandago.
"@NakuruCountyGov , you can count on @UGC_TheChampion for any support required as we mourn lives lost in the #SubukiaDamtragedy," he added.
Following last week's incident, there have been appeals for help and Kenyans have already positively responded to the pleas to help the affected families who were rendered homeless and destitute.
Private organizations and civil society groups, too, have donated foodstuff and other basic needs to the survivors and families displaced.
Patel Mansukul, the owner of the 'killer' dam, is also said to have been supplying milk and bread daily to the victims.
