For this, the Jubilee governor says, the government should consider awarding Raila for his bold step that has helped cool down the political temperatures.

"And then for that, 'baba' should be awarded a serious honorary recognition and we support, I personally support the former Prime Minister and people of Nasa by extension for accepting to join hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta," said Mandago.

Speaking in Eldoret town on Wednesday, Mandago further challenged Kenyans to focus on the national building noting that Kenya will remain while the two principals will not be there forever.

"The president and baba won't be there in future, Kenya will be there. So be part and parcel that will see accelerated growth in terms of development in this country," he said.

The firebrand county boss also urged the political class to avoid politics and focus on development projects.

"So many countries are jealous of us, of our stability and we must guard it as a nation. We should learn to separate politics, development, and economy so that after the election, the following week all of us should be on duty and we wait for the next election," he added.
