It’s February, or the month of love as many call it, and it is the same month that others like referring to it as the month of breakups.

It is within this month that the world celebrates Valentines Day, every 14th day, and on this particular date, many couples fall in trouble, if not part, mainly because of unfulfilled promises.

Here are two expert ways that will help you avoid the breaking or falling apart on the day of love. Angela Mwangi, is a relationship adviser and gives us an insight into the two tips.

1. Don’t give unrealistic promises

Many people (note men) find themselves in a tight corner on Valentines Day because they made the big mistake of giving false and unrealistic promises that could not be fulfilled on the D-day.

Angela advises men to be realistic and be real and only promise what they can deliver on Valentines Day.

“Being yourself and giving promises that you can meet is the safest bet for any man who doesn’t want the troubles that come with the day,” she says.

2. Being open

Most men create problems on this day because they have failed to be open and tell their loved ones that they don't have money.

Lack of openness may create trouble because the lady might assume the man has money and she expects him to treat her and when that fails to happen the two become enemies.

“What I would advice men is that they need to be open and declare their financial status before their ladies. They need to say if they have money or not because that avoids trouble on the material day,” she says.
