President Uhuru Kenyatta had earlier hinted at visiting NASA leader Raila Odinga's stronghold, Nyanza after the historic handshake between the two.
However, according to what is happening in Kenya now with NRM general Miguna Miguna being the subject, President Kenyatta's tour to the Nyanza region may turn sour.
Kenyatta being the president of the republic of Kenya will always be blamed for whatever is happening in the country. The detention of Miguna Miguna at the JKIA for two days now has sparked anger in the people of Kisumu and Nyanza at large and instances of demos have been reported.
The fact that the government has held Miguna Miguna at the airport with claims that he is not a Kenyan citizen has broken the friendship that Raila Odinga had created between the president and his supporters back in Nyanza who are great Miguna Miguna followers through the handshake.
President Kenyatta's visit to the region might therefore experience chaos and this won't be the first time he is being rejected by Odinga's people.
For president Kenyatta to mend his friendship with the people of Nyanza to facilitate his peaceful visit to the region, he has to issue a statement on the release of Miguna Miguna from the airport, a move which will back up his handshake with Odinga.
