Most university students are in the forefront with majority counting losses. However, this is different to Vincent Kiplangat, a third-year student at Moi University pursuing a bachelor's degree in commerce.

Kiplagat says betting has made him conquer most financial challenges in campus after taking it as a business venture since he was introduced by a friend on joining campus.

He notes that betting needs patience and correct timings which most people lack.

"I have been in this game for almost 3-years now since I was introduced by a friend and since then I have been earning relatively between Sh6,000 to Sh8,000 a day which has kept me going in the campus," he said.

Asked how he makes that possible, Kiplangat said, Multibet is his secrets as each day he analyses football matches that gives him 3 to 4 odds and places bets on them with Sh2,000 returning him Sh6,000.

"After realizing that I was losing a lot on playing several multi-bets, I challenged myself to reduce the number of games, get on those with achievable odds and increase the amount of money I bet with it and that's how I started getting better returns," he narrated.

Kiplangat admitted that sometimes with even such odds he loses but what has kept him moving is how he has been disciplined and responsible in betting.

He said the money he earns is using them to pay rent, fee and sometimes sends some home to support her single mother.

The student is also planning to open a car wash in Eldoret town from the betting money savings.
