Emerging details now indicate that Deputy President William Ruto's futile efforts to meet retired President Daniel Moi is just one of many such efforts.
Speaking on Radio Citizen Wednesday, Soi MP Caleb Kositanyi revealed that the DP's efforts to meet the ailing ex-president have been on for 4 years but have always been shot down by forces surrounding Moi.
The Ruto ally claimed that despite making an appointment each time, Moi's handlers have always found excuses to prevent the meetings.
''We have been trying to meet the former president for close to four years but individuals close to him have succeeded in ensuring that the same is not realized,'' he said.
''The Deputy President and his allies have been trying to meet him to congratulate him for his success as the ex-leader of this country and other national issues and have always made preservations in advance but his handlers have made it impossible for us to actualize the meetings,'' he added.
