Mombasa County's vision of being a vibrant, modern, regional commercial hub with a high standard of living for its residents was well presented and emphasised during the ongoing 5th Devolution Conference 2018 being held in Kakamega County.
In this year's meeting, County Executive Committee Members and Chief Officers showcased what different departments have achieved so far in line with the devolution conference theme: 'Sustainable, Productive, Effective and Efficient Governments for Results Delivery.'
The County also has a stand at the conference, showcasing various products and services that the coastal city deals with, including traditional outfits like 'Kanga' and 'Lesso'.
The conference will take stock of the achievements of devolved functions so far and discuss how well County and National Governments can work to make devolution a success.
Among distinguished guests who are attending the meeting include political leaders, Sub County Administration, donor partners among others.
Former Coast regional coordinator who is now the Devolution Principal Secretary Nelson Marwa, Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi, Lands CeC Edward Nyale among others attended the conference on Tuesday.
