Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has reportedly maintained a commanding lead in Jubilee Party primaries.
Kuria has garnered 24,578 votes, followed by Joyce Ngugi who has 7,572 votes as at 12pm, today, Wednesday.
The results were compiled by party agents. The entire Kiambu County results are yet to be announced.
The outspoken MP became a subject of debate on Tuesday after he used foul language on live TV.
"Every wrong done here in Gatundu is by Moses Kuria. F*** you," he told an NTV journalist, who had asked for his response on the chaos that marred elections in his constituency.
Kiambu Governor William Kabogo had conceded defeat Tuesday evening, saying his competitor, Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, “could be the county’s next governor.”
This is despite less than 20 per cent of the nomination results being announced.
Kabogo, however, said the nominations were a sham.
