Nairobi Women Rep aspirant on ODM ticket Esther Passaris could not hide her joy after clinching the orange party ticket and even disclosed how much she spend to get the victory.

"I used approximately Sh10 million in my campaign, raising funds from friends, family, well-wishers. Words cannot express how grateful I am,: she said during a live interview on Citizen TV.

Passaris took time to thank hi supporters who came out to vote for her.

"The Women Rep position is a difficulty position to campaign for as they lack funds. I am awed by the overwhelming support i the ODM primaries. Thank you for believing in me," said Passaris.

The famous 'mama taa' won the primaries with 65,104 votes, beating Beatrice Kwamboka who came second with 11,296 and Jane Nyaboke third with 4,677votes.

Passaris next major hurdle will be on August 8th when she faces Jubilee's Rachel Shebesh.
