Nominated MP Godfrey Ososti has said that Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi is trying to escape the shame of missing out on the 'swearing-in' of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
According to Osotsi, Mudavadi's decision to punish lawmakers who attended the swearing-in was a diversion tactic.
Speaking on Thursday, Osotsi challenged Mudavadi to face the reality and admit he erred in missing the occasion.
"Those are empty threats. All they are now trying is to divert the attention from the agitation of their supporters," Osotsi said.
Mudavadi alongside Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula missed the swearing-in without giving a clear explanation.
On Tuesday, Mudavadi constituted a disciplinary committee to issue a verdict on the conduct of Osotsi, George Khaniri and Cleophas Malala.
The three leaders are accused of being rebels after criticizing Mudavadi for missing the event.
