According to the alliance insider and Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula, the wrangles are a deliberate move by the alliance heads in preparation for the 2022 presidential race.

In an interview on Radio Jambo Tuesday, Savula revealed that the coalition remains one, despite currently seemingly falling apart, claiming that it is a move to mislead the ruling Jubilee party.

"No one should be fooled into thinking that NASA has fallen or is falling apart, we are united but are just not ready to show off our weapons to our enemy," he said.

"Those thinking that some parties have left the alliance are wrong as until now none has announced its exit from the coalition. We are actually preparing to win in the forthcoming presidential contest," he added.

He announced a reunion that will translate to a vetting process before NASA arrives at its 2022 flag bearer.

The lawmaker added that the coalition will have its presidential flag bearer early enough to give room for further preparation.

"NASA leaders will undergo nomination before we come up with our flag bearer for 2022. It will be inclusive and open for all leaders eyeing the presidency and we are expect to conduct it before 2020," said Savula.
