The magma of 2022 politics is boiling ready to erupt as every politician is doing his best either to leave a legacy or to remain relevant in the political arena.
The NASA principals have not been left lugging behind especially after the other co-principals boycotted the swearing in of the opposition chief Raila Odinga. This is how the principals are making a political comeback:
Raila Odinga.
The first among the equals went ahead to make a truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta without the consent of the other equals, NASA co-principals.Even though the price of the agreement still remains unclear, many Kenyans including political analysts have anticipated that Raila has been promised political relevancy come 2022.Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi had even anticipated that Raila’s daughter, Winnie, will be the first Woman president after DP William Ruto.
Kalonzo Musyoka.
Branded as a traitor and irrelevant in politics after he failed to be attend NASA’s swearing in, Kalonzo had to go back to his community to attain relevancy after which his 2022 presidential bid was endorsed by The Kamba Community Forum. The leader has also been given the way forward to meet with the president and his deputy. Kalonzo’s wiper party has been rebranded to One Kenya Movement.
Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
Since the handshake between Raila and Uhuru, Mudavadi and Wetangula have been distancing themselves from ODM activities. The matter worsened after Wetangula’s senate minority leader position was given to Hon. James Orengo. The duo has embarked on Luhya Unity Quest to unite the Luhya community and find one presidential candidate in 2022.
