NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s fellow principal in the opposition are working on a plot to hold the ODM leader hostage incase he wins the presidential contest, Kakamega Governor Wyclife Oparanya has said.According to the influential governor,Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC party, Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party and Moses Wetangula’s Ford Kenya are currently maligning ODM candidates running in other positions, the Star reports.The county boss said the NASA leaders are doing everything to stop the ODM candidates from winning, as a way to deny Raila the majority he needs in the senate and national assembly to effectively run government. “They come here and tell you to vote their party candidates, because they want to deny Raila the numbers,” the governor said,” as per the Star.“NASA is only at the top of the of presidential candidate, but each party campaigns for other seats independently.” Just last week, Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale said Raila must be denied the majority in both the senate and national assembly, because he could ‘kill’ NASA aspiration is he has the majority. “Other NASA parties must have more seats to effectively oversight the ODM president. Otherwise, Raila will ignore other partners and do as he wishes and his ODM,” Dr Khalwale said, as quoted by the Star. The senator said that the coalition members had agreed that ODM leaves key county seats in Western to ANC or Fork Kenya, while ODM focuses on Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa governor seats.
