The latest press conference by civil society groups, working under Kura Yangu, Sauti Yangu, has given away their intentions and who they are working for — NASA. In the presser, the NGOs conclude that the proposed election laws meant to fix gaps the Supreme Court identified when nullifying the presidential election are unconstitutional. They also want IEBC to open its servers and have made a doom prediction that Kenya is headed for violence. If you look at the concerns and language of these organisations, you realise that it is the same as that of NASA politicians. They seem to be reading from the same script. The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC), which is part of the NGOs making up Kura Yangu, Sauti Yangu, is headed by Makau Mutua and Maina Kiai, who have both been very critical of the government and expressed their support for the opposition. Prof Mutua, who is based in New York, has never recognised Uhuru Kenyatta as the president of Kenya. The other organisations in the group helped in coaching witnesses to fix President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto at the ICC. They were later unmasked when the fake witnesses turned against them. Other NGOs opposing the government, such as IDLO have already been kicked out of the country due to its external influence of the judiciary, leading to the coup. Lawyer Harun Ndubi, John Githongo, George Kegoro, Gladwell Otieno, Oloo Janak Yash Pal Ghai, who are all opposing the government, are the also leading the following organisations, which are part of the umbrella NGO: Kenya Correspondents Association, Kenyans for Peace with Truth and Justice, Inuka Trust, Katiba Institute, The Kenyan Section of the International Commission of Jurists, The Africa Center for Open Governance, he Constitution and Reforms Education Consortium among others. What these Kenyans are doing is fleece donors in the name of activism. They are working to help NASA ascend to power through the back door, in my opinion.
