Although NASA principals have given senators two weeks to review Wetangula's ouster, details have emerged how Orengo tricked Raila Odinga minutes to the historic ouster.

Hours to Senators scheduling meeting, the official says, Orengo incited them against attending a meeting summoned by Raila in his office to solve the leadership crisis.

"Raila had summoned ODM senators but Orengo convinced them why they should boycott it," said the source, who spoke in confidence.

He further said: "Nobody showed up at Upperhill and when Raila insited, it's only Orengo who met him at Panafric Hotel, hours after they had appointed him Minority Leader."

On Tuesday, Orengo was confirmed as Wetangula's replacement, a move that has since caused jitters within NASA coalition.

In an interview at a local TV on Wednesday, Orengo defended the move insisting that only Parliamentary Group has a role in picking house leaders.
