The vocal and eloquent lawyer cum motivational speaker ended his argument on a high note that led to his recognition by Chief Justice David Maraga.
Maraga told the outstanding lawyer , “Mr Lumumba, you were clear,” to as PLO responded, “May the Lord bless you.”
According to PLO, only 15, 000 of the 15 million votes cast during the last general elections are being contested by the leaders of the opposition, which he said cannot lead to the nullification of the general elections.
The lawyer said that the case brought before the court has different shortcoming saying: “The pleadings before you suffer from lack of focus and particularity.”
He added that the evidence provided by the opposition is not sufficient to lead to the cancellation of the presidential case.
“No court in the world has ever voided an election based on the minimalist approach. These are petty grievances,” said Prof Lumumba.
The form head of the Ethics and Anti corruption Commission (EACC) also said that the election process provided Kenyans with leaders and nullification amounts to ‘abortion of a healthy child’
