The National Police Service should allow NASA leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga to meet thie supporters at the JKIA to their procession to Kamukunji grounds for the welcome rally.

This is not the first homecoming for a political leader in Kenya. The cultures dates back to 1961 when the colonial government was still in office and Kenyans would march to JKIA to receive their leaders.

The parties to the Lancaster House series of talks on Independence from 1961 to 1962 were allowed to see off and welcome their leaders at the Embakasi Airport.

The colonial police provided security for these comings and goings and none were banned.

The same happened in 1992 when Kenneth Matiba returned from a London hospital and in 2014 when President Uhuru Kenyatta returned from the ICC.

If the police insists on blocking Odinga's supporters then this will make Kalonzo and Odinga bigger and the government weak.
