Speaking on Citizen TV’s Power Breakfast show on Wednesday, Muluka claimed that Raila plotted to take oath as the people’s president in the absence of Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi so as to taint their images.

The political advisor claimed the oath ceremony was a well-calculated move by Raila to throw the other three co-principals under the bus.

“This thing of Uhuru Park on January 30 Raila calculated it to throw the other three guys under the train and he has managed to do it,” said Muluka.

“They are under the train and whether they are crashed or not is another matter. This was deliberate, well calculated and premeditated to make them look bad,” he added.

Muluka claimed that contrary to popular belief, Raila is the one who abandoned his co-principals during the swearing-in ceremony.

He said Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula were at an unnamed venue waiting to meet Raila before they could all attend the oath ceremony, only for Raila to show up at Uhuru Park alone.

“We were waiting for Raila so that we could together gravitate towards Uhuru Park and have the two take their oath,” said Muluka.

“What I saw next was a footage on YouTube of Raila Odinga materialising at Uhuru Park and hurriedly going through the motions of taking the oath,” he added.

He revealed that the three opposition leaders were waiting for Raila at a different venue because Kalonzo had not seen his oath, neither had the programme, the 'presidential' address and the protocols been disclosed.

“Up to now we have not seen the oath that Kalonzo was supposed to read as the people’s deputy president,” he said.

Muluka, however, refuted claims that the three co-principals were blocked by police from attending the oath ceremony.
