Ahead of the next month's repeat presidential election,President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga have intensified their vote hunt mission with a view to tilting political scales in their favour.
According to political analyst Dismas Mokua, for Raila who will be vying for the fifth time to beat Uhuru, he should ensure high voter turnout in his strongholds and go back to the swing counties.
Mokua who was speaking in an interview on KTN noted that the former Prime Minister should go back to his core support bases and calibrate the message to boost his numbers.
"For Raila to have a realistic chance in the next poll, he should go back to his bases and calibrate his message to ensure that there is high voter turnout in his strongholds...The most important thing for NASA is to infiltrate the swing counties and to further put infrastructure there to protect their votes," Mokua said.
In the bungled August 8 poll, Uhuru beat Raila in majority of the counties that were considered battlegrounds.
