Fresh details on behind scenes intrigues between Raila Odinga and NASA co-pribciapls have emerged with chief strategist Barrack Muluka accusing Raila of blackmail.
With both Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi giving their own version of what transpired, Muluka now claims Raila plotted to paint his colleagues 'dirty' for his own benefit.
"We were thrown into a state of confusion because there was every possibility that the swearing-in was not going to happen.
"We had unfinished business but Raila told these three gentlemen to switch off their phones and that he would reach them using a foreign number," he noted in a local TV interview on Wednesday.
Last week, former Kakamega senator Bonnie Khalwale claimed that the four principals had agreed to cancel the ceremony following a brokered deal by Olesegun Obasanjo.
Muluka said: "One of principals managed to reach him and he said he was marauded by unknown people and later hang off."
According to Muluka, Raila would then proceed to Uhuru Park in absence of co-principals before holding a final meeting as they had agreed.
The swearing-in, he adds, was a scheme orchestrated by the ODM wing to taint the names of other principals by labeling them cowards.
