The Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga arrived in Kisumu county on Friday evening.
Raila received a warm reception from the residents of the county who turned up in large numbers.
He had earlier in the day been in Kisii county where he had gone to attend the funeral of the late Prof. Tumbo Oeri at his home in Mosocho.
The former Prime Minister's visit to Kisumu came days after he and President Uhuru Kenyatta reconciled and promised to work together for the sake of the country's unity.
Addressing the residents at Kondele area, Odinga explained to the people about his agreement with Uhuru.
Raila and President Kenyatta have for a long time been political rivals. Their recent political move came as surprise to many with some welcoming it while others expressed their disappointment with the two leaders.
