(Photo/the star.co.ke)Former Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden has backed NASA leader Raila Odinga's planned swearing-in slated for December 12, 2017.Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Sunday, Aden, who lost the Balambala seat in the August 8 general election said that Raila's swearing-in will liberate Kenyans.He claimed that the former Prime Minister (PM) planned swearing-in will lay the foundation for the country's third liberation.Aden said that Raila has a huge following that is dissatisfied with the recently concluded presidential election. The former MP rubbished claims that Raila wants to cause anarchy by swearing himself as president.He said that Raila has the interests of Kenyans at heart and cannot cause war in the country.The former MP added that Jubilee government cannot dismiss, threaten or intimidate Raila's followers."Raila's December 12 swearing-in will mark a new chapter in the country's democracy," he said.The former MP said that Raila is fighting for fairness, electoral justice and an end to impunity and police brutality.The ODM organizing secretary appealed to NASA supporters to remain calm and peaceful ahead of the planned Raila's big event.Aden, who has been nominated by ODM as member for the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) asked president Uhuru Kenyatta's government to respect the constitution and stop using the police as a weapon to fight the opposition.Raila maintains that he will be sworn-in as president on December 12, 2017, by the people's assembly.The opposition has already sent out invites to the venue of the swearing-in remaining top secret.On Friday last week, the Judiciary warned Raila against swearing himself as president terming the planned event as illegal and unconstitutional.
