Many people are users of Safaricom sim cards and following this digital era, the use of data bundles is high as most people are into social media which definitely requires data to operate.
Despite the fact that Safaricom is the domineering the market its rivals are also on the rise to provide cheaper services for customers who now tend to prefer other networks.
Due to this fact, Safaricom has launched a new product that will enable their customers to enjoy cheap data, calls and SMS services which will all be under one payment.
The new platform, 'FLEX' will enable mobile users to purchase cheap data which will, in turn, help them purchase flex units. Any subscriber with flex units will be able to use data for internet browsing, minutes for making calls, local voice and sending short messages, according to Safaricom statement.
The use of 'FLEX' will serve the interests of the low and high-income earners since it will set a boost for people from different social classes in terms of communication which will offer flexibility in pricing.
It is a platform that targets both subscribers and M-pesa users such that once a person sends, for instance, Sh100 to another person, the sender receives 3 flex units which can be used for calling, texting and even browsing.
Following the increased use of social media platforms users will find 'FLEX' cheaper.
