She is the woman who took selfies with the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga last year in Park Hyatta, a stunning hotel in Zanzibar.

Today, Seraphine is a proud woman as the selfies, she says, have helped her grow her tour and travel business.

Seraphine, the Director of Maridadi Tours, a travel company based in Zanzibar, bumped into Kenya’s opposition leader at the hotel and she requested for selfies with him.

She later posted them on her Facebook page. However, she received backlash at first, many social media users bashing her.

Some even asked her to pull them down.

Nonetheless, despite the negative comments, the photos seemed to have worked miracles in her business.

From the day she posted the pictures on her Facebook page, she attracted over 20, 000 new followers on her Facebook page.

Being a victim of cyberbullying, she narrated how it earned her fame.

The popularity she got after posting the pictures with Odinga has brought more income to her business.

Seraphine told Nas Daily in an interview that she has bagged huge business deals for her firm, after being made popular by haters on Facebook.

She welcomed critics of all kinds noting both negative and positive critics elevated her.

The tours operator fondly recalled Odinga’s humility when she requested to take selfies with him. She said meeting the opposition leader was a blessing for her.
