Former nominated Senator Harold Kipchumba has narrated to KTN News how his son was once wheeled to Naivasha Morgue while breathing.
In a deadly accident on 4 April 2013, recalls Kipchumba, his son, Hilary Kiptum was on the wheel when the accident occured.
"Hillary was driving on that night, unfortunately, there are people who lost their lives and we are lucky to be alive and my son got head injury which would later be detected as brain injury.
"By the time we reached at Naivasha District Hospital, they thought he had died and so they took him to the morgue, among the dead," he said.
And since then, he adds, Kiptum has remained paralyzed despite costing the family over Sh14 million for treatment.
Few months after the ordeal, Kipchumba, who hails from Baringo, would lose his seat to Ben Njoroge after the court nullified his nomination.
