A 36-year old man identified as Peter Adhiambo who resides in Kibera is agonising after he lost Sh20,000 on Real Madrid versus Liverpool Champions League final clash.
The man who is a diehard Liverpool fan is in full regret after the much-worked-for money was lost in less than two hours.
"I'm a diehard supporter of Liverpool and without hesitating I placed a whooping Sh20,000 the money I have been saving for close to three months on Liverpool to win," Peter said.
The jua kali worker was watching the game in his friend's house and was shocked when the man he was sure of to score goals was stretched off the field.
"I was shocked amid tears when Mohammed Salah who is always the game changer was stretched off the field after colliding with Madrid defender Ramos," he said.
Hopes of winning went down further when Benzema scored a brilliant goal after Liverpool keeper Karius made a 'silly' mistake.
Even though it was equalised by Senegal star Sadio Mane, there was nothing that could prove they could still win.
They later conceded two goals more by 'super sub' Gareth Bale who was regarded as the man of the match by Madrid fans.
Peter said he left his friend's house after the third goal of Real Madrid.
He blamed Liverpool keeper Karius for his 'silly mistakes' that cost him his cash.
"It was Karius who costed my money after those silly mistakes he made," he said.
Peter revealed that he has suspended his support for Liverpool until further notice.
"I have suspended all sporting and gaming activities until further notice. For now let me concentrate on my jua kali job in Kibera," Peter concluded.
