The dismissal by the courts of the majority of petition election cases vindicated the IEBC of any wrongdoing during the 2017 general elections.
According to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, the IEBC carried out free, fair and credible elections something he says has been proven by the courts by dismissing almost 95% of the election petitions that were filed.
Chebukati said that out of the total 299 election petitions that were filed across the country only 24 were allowed something he says vindicated his commission.
“Out of the 299 petitions that were filed only 24 were allowed by the courts and that is an allowable margin of error and this clearly vindicated the IEBC from any wrongdoing,” said Chebukati.
