Among such students is Sikulu (not his real name), a fourth-year Engineering student at Moi University who has started a business named MTK Electronics.

At MTK Electronics, bicycles are rented out to students and there is also a play station. University students definitely love fun activities such as bicycle riding and playing FIFA. This creates a huge market for Serem's business.

One bicycle is rented out for Sh50 per hour. A student who wants to hire a bicycle will have to leave his ID, laptop or any other valuable property for security reasons. He or she is then given a bicycle. The student will be required to pay Sh50 for every hour he spends with the bicycle.

On a good day Serem says he may rent up to 30 bicycles but on the average, it is only 15. Out of the rented bicycles, there those who exceed up to 3 hours. This guarantees him a good income.

He has been doing the business for 2 years now, and he began with only 10 bicycles. Right now Serem he has 22 bicycles showing a great improvement with an income of up to Sh50,000.

MTK Electronics also has a play station where students can play FIFA and hung out after a busy day.

Serem now plans to grow his business and open up several branches in the near future.
