The 2017 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results have been officially released today.

Candidates who sat the exams have a number of ways of checking their results.

First, they can do so through SMS by sending their full index number to the SMS code 22252.

They can also access their results by going to the KNEC portal (starting today evening) after it is updated.

The third way is to wait to make a visit to their respective schools from tomorrow when the results will have been delivered.

In the statement given today by Education CS Fred Matiangi, there was a slight improvement by public schools in this year's exam compared to previous years.
