The cold season is here with us and for the past five or so days, it has been raining non-stop the whole night.
Athi River town in Machakos County is becoming an eyesore. There is mud everywhere and the uncollected cabbage is just not pleasant to look at. As usual during the rainy season, the electricity has also been playing hide and seek with residents of Athi River town.
The good thing is that the residents can at least tap some rainwater and save on the budget of buying water. Business people who deal with raincoats, umbrellas, sweaters, mahindi choma and even condoms are making a killing. These are fast-moving products during cold seasons.
Cold season, also known as baby-making weather, is a time when couples tend to spend more time in bed and consequently have more sex. Unplanned for pregnancies are therefore common.
Here are some of the ways to avoid unwanted pregnancy during this cold season.
Invest in condoms/E-pills
This is the best time to invest your money in condoms. If you are used to purchasing one or two packets, this is the time to purchase ten or more packets. This is to ensure that the condoms are available all the time. During the cold season, it is practically impossible to chill when you realize you have run out of condoms.
In case you make the mistake of doing it without a condom, then the E-pills will come in handy. If you are a lady and your man forgot to buy condoms, arm yourself with some E-pills. Also, make sure you have some extra condoms in your handbag.
Go to work
Most employees will call their bosses and pretend they are sick so that they can stay at home and sleep more. This is not a good idea. It will lure you into having more sex and we all know that the more sex you have, the higher the chances of getting pregnant. So put that brave face and embrace the cold weather. Rise up early, wear warm clothing and go to work.
