As a relationship progresses to being better and sweeter, so does sex set in. Most people believe that sex is a proof of love, trust, and worthiness in a relationship. It means that your partner trusts you much to expose his or her body to you. Sometimes one might have a different view of sex in the relationship or probably not ready yet to have sex. Turning your partner down might be a little difficult and frustrating to them. This might hurt their feelings and they might be left wondering why they were turned down. Share your reasons why you are not going to have sex with him in advance. He or she will have a clue that you are not ready yet so that it will not turn out such bad when asked for sex. Tell him about your fears and worries about sex so that both of you take sex matter slowly. If you two have already engaged already in sex before explain why you are not in the moods for sex. This will help your partner not take it personally when you reject sex from them.

Give another alternative thing to do that is better than sex such as playing video games, watching movies, going out and having fun rather than staying around to hurt your partner’s feelings. This will help him or her to put the mind away from sex and focus on better things. Remember to apologize to your partner and assure him to that one day it will happen.

Say a polite no to sex without shouting or fighting him. Make sure a no is a no and don’t change your mind later to make him or her never to take your no seriously. Sometimes it is good to leave the room and go to a quiet place and let him cool down then later, when he is okay, explain your reasons for doing that. 

Tell your partner the things that you appreciate and love about them to assure them of your love.  Make them know that love is not all about sex. Show them that you love them in other different ways such as giving them love and appreciation. Make them feel special in both public and private places.
